Part of the Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends series, Thomas’ Christmas Delivery tells how Thomas puts the needs of others before his own desire to return to the shed to hang his Christmas stocking. He has to deliver food for the community celebration, gifts to the children in the boarding school, and the Children’s Hospital. Once he has those done he is asked to make an additional stop for a boy with a broken leg. Because he is a Really Useful Engine, Thomas willingly does all that is asked. I have always enjoyed Awdry’s Thomas stories. Stubbs illustrations go well with the text.
