Summary

from author’s web site

One winter’s night, a snowman comes to life and an unforgettable adventure begins…

Raymond Briggs’ favourite classic picturebook is a true piece of Christmas magic – narrated entirely through pictures, it captures the wonder and innocence of childhood and is now loved throughout the world.

My Review

There is so much going on in the illustrations of the wordless book The Snowman. Each page has several colored pencil sketches. Raymond Briggs tells the story of a snowman come to life. The Snowman is an excellent picture book to use as part of a writing exercise. Students could write out the story they see in the pictures. The Snowman could also be used with younger children to help them develop verbal language skills.

I have a copy of this picture book in my K-12 Christian School library. This is my honest review.
