I love the work of Chris Raschka. His picture books seem to capture the lives of children in a delightful way. A Ball for Daisy is a wordless book about the antics of a dog and her ball. Ink, watercolor, and gouache were used to create the illustrations which were awarded a Caldecott  medal.
