Another potential picture book for my Clifford Story time later this summer, Clifford the Firehouse Dog was next on my summer reading list. As you can guess – the big red dog is the featured character of the story. In this book, Clifford and Emily Elizabeth go to visit Clifford’s brother Nero who is a Firehouse Dog. While they are there, the firemen get called to a fire and Clifford gets to “save the day” with the help he provides.

Once again, Norman Bridwell has entered the persona of the big red dog and shared a story that will appeal to the pre-school set.
